Hyndland House nominated for ‘Best Individual Property’

Hyndland House, one of the student accommodation properties in the Derwent Students portfolio, has today been nominated for Best Individual Property by the Global Student Living Index. The six-floor building consists of high-spec studios in a contemporary urban living style right in the heart of Glasgow’s vibrant west end.

The team at Hyndland House, managed by Erwin Orduz, pride themselves on building a strong sense of community for the students who stay there, where everyone can feel at home. There’s a comfy common room with a widescreen TV and an outdoor courtyard with a herb garden for students to use and grow their own. Residents also benefit from all-inclusive bills, on-site laundry facilities and secure bike storage.

Erwin was delighted to hear about the nomination and said: “I am extremely honoured that Hyndland House has been nominated for Best Individual Property. I am just one part of this family, but most importantly I am proud of our whole team who have been consistent and passionate about all our students and the community we live in. When I started working at Hyndland House in 2021, my main objective was to make sure all our students had the best experience being away from home. This has come with a lot of work from the whole team and the community around Hyndland House.

We look forward to building a much wider community within Hyndland House which will bring us more success over the coming years. Once again we are truly humbled by this nomination, and we will continue to offer the best service to all our students.”

The Winners of all UK & Ireland and European Awards will be announced on stage at GSL Live ’22: Net-zero Student Living in London on 20th October.
